Ode to a Best Friend

No. 92: Treat a Friend

Its very rare in life to meet someone who means so much to you  in the world and who is there for you through thick and thin. Lucky for me I found this person a few years ago and after vomiting on her shoes and forcing her to spend time bonding with me we have never looked back!! The person i'm talking about of course is my best friend Gill. The lady who has helped through some of the hardest times of my life and has been there to laugh with me through the good times too! So this is for her, for Gill, for the woman who has helped me in more ways than she will EVER know, and who I hope in 50 years time will still be by my side!

Ok enough soppy stuff! In honor of Gill being the BEST friend ever, i felt it was time i did something nice for her! And so came about the roadtrip!! I must say this was undoubtedly one of my better plans, the weather had been totally en-point all week, except for our planned day of course!! But that's ok...we worked through it like only Irish people can; i.e. mac in a sac, hat and scarf, spare clothes, runners, sunglasses, basically if the weather was gonna change - we were completely prepared for all outcomes! Our roadtrip consisted of completing some of the my infamous list while also spending the day travelling Ireland with my Bestie!! One thing I feel that people should know about Gill is that everything you will ever ask her will be achievable, she will without a doubt be able to find a way for you to achieve whatever you set out to do!

Also in honor of it being the birthday of my amazing best friend i decided it would be fitting to put in writing just how incredible this girl truly is and how much my life has changed for the better from knowing her! I feel things in my life have truly changed for the better from knowing Gill, the girls who never judges and always listens, who is never shocked but always supports! The girl who never asks for anything but would give you everything she had if you needed it! I've had some of the funniest experiences of my life with this girl ones that to this day make me laugh, "you know the way you're 23 Gill?" 

So on your birthday I wish you the happiest of days, the most joy you could ever hope for and the most amazing future! I hope you get all your dreams and that we do eventually travel the world together and experience all that the world has to offer, and then i hope that when we're old and grey we can look back and remember the most amazing times we had together. So in 2 hours time I wish you the happiest of days, and I hope you enjoy your presents - you deserve them and more!
